Jenica is PROMPT© Intro trained which is
a tactile-kinesthetic approach that uses touch cues to a
child's face,
lips and jaw
in order to support
a child's
motor planning
for talking.
Jenica completed the 12 - Week pediatric feeding course Feed the Peds by Hallie Balkin, CCC-SLP, COM, in order to better support her young clients with feeding difficulties in 2022.
Jenica has earned the ASHA (American Speech Language Hearing Association) ACE Award (Award for Continuing Education) for completing over 70 hours in 36 months of continuing educate on 1/20/2022 and 6/30/2023.
Jenica completed the 'Seeds of Learning' 6-week coursework 'Roots' which focuses on the foundational skills of executive functioning on 3/29/2025.
Jenica has completed numerous orofacial myofunctional courses and became certificed to provide orofacial myofunctional therapy from Simon Says' OMT Program: Tiny Tongue Tips, Tongue Tips & Thumbs Up! on 6/2/2024. Additionally, Jenica is a member of the Myo Membership by Hallie Bulkin, SLP.
Jenica completed the 6-week course work for the
PLAY Project and
Teaching PLAY which is a parent-driven, play-based approach to support young children with autism spectrum disorders.
Jenica is currently studying Natural Learning Acquisition to support her early communicators who are gestalt language learners who use echolalia (repeated phrases/sentences) as early communication as opposed to analytical language processors who use single words for early communication.
